Tribute To An Icon
Today, the world lost one of the true hero of the past century.
An inspiration to humanity.
He was a man of tremendous moral values and courage, who changed the course of history in his country.
Today a light has been extinguished.
Rest in peace Nelson Mandela.
Rest in peace my man.We in seychelles we have to follow your foot step to be free from dictator and oppressor.
ReplyDeleteUn vrai leader, un homme de courage qui n'utilise pas le discours de haine. Nous devrions apprendre de lui..
ReplyDeleteWe lost the world's greatest advocate for peace and change.
ReplyDeleteSFP shall keep struggling for freedom and peace for the Seychellois people!
Who will be our icon on this island of corruption me no see none of you.We need someone to guide us to hope and a leader with out fear, but most opposition leader got fear in their asch can not even organise a mass demostrstion to free our country from this gangs of criminals who are still continue to sell our land and doing things their way.
ReplyDeleteI bet you Pp leader wish he was in Mandela shoes-- but only refused to die.
ReplyDeleteMandela is great for pardoning his Boer's friend for the many years of atrocities. The whole world supported Winnie, Tutu and other brave South African in their struggle against apartheid. If he was really against apartheid, he would have at least speak up for the Palestinians in their quest for freedom from their occupiers.
ReplyDeleteMICROBIOME :) :) :)
Palestinians are not being occupied. Whatever they think is wrong with their situation they have brought it upon themselves, hence the reason Mandela never spoke up for them. Long Live Israel!
DeleteI'm not a fun of Israel or paslestinians.but paslestinians peoples deserve a better life under occupetion. Why israel are still taken their land burning all their olive trees down,we dont like arabs are coming to occupied our island for palestinians are the same seen years.
ReplyDeleteMicrob mandela was not a peace maker he was a freedom fighter.
Microb in'n an paye ankor en fwa avek Johnny.
DeleteJohnny support Israel and Microb careless about Palestinian.
The good new they they both love Mandela.
The bad new is they both hate PL.
Most of all they are freedom fighters for SFP including me.
The difference between Mandela and the political leaders of Seychelles is vast, Mandela was a man who was not afraid of prison, whilst those leaders in Seychelles are terrified of being locked-up. For example, Rene dreaded the prison, he demolished the Union Vale prison soon after he illegally took power, because once he had a close-shave with the possibility of being locked up there and he could not entertain that memory!
ReplyDeleteMancham could have fought back after the coup d'Etat and faced prison if need be and come out as a national hero, but no, he preferred to stay away in the cozy world of exile. They are nowhere near Madiba!

ReplyDeleteDo not come a sing arab song of occupation of Palestine ,we are a non align country and we should not muddle our self in a tribal conflict .
The sun cast its last rays on the man who lifted S Africa from darkness of Apartheid. His testament would be the reference for all freedom loving people.
We would surely see african dictators rushing to his funeral, for it provides them with a plattform to glorify themselves as freedom fighter, democrates.

ReplyDeleteI am not singing praises to any arab I am just saying that Mandela had double standard on apartheid. We may be a on-aligned country but we are still a member of the UN! We have not stop voting at the UN. Non-aligned??? Let's not forget our arguments on apartheid in regards to RSA before the sanctions. Who were the good guys then and who were the savages?
Do you remember Steve Biko? Oh Biko...
MICROBIOME :) :) :)
That's what I thought! SHORT MEMORIES!
