Vanoil Energy Ltd announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Avana
Petroleum Limited, has received a default notice under the joint
operating agreement in respect of Seychelles Areas A and B, due to
non-payment of its share of joint account expenses in the amount of USD
$732,755 plus interest.
In a statement by the chairman of Vanoil Energy on behalf of the board James Passin says Avana has not remedied the default within the time period required under the JOA, and is currently in discussions with East African Exploration (Seychelles) Limited (“EAX”) with respect to an extension of the payments.
Vanoil holds a 25% working interest in Seychelles Areas A and B with its partner Afren. Areas A and B comprise 14,319 km2 in total and are located on the Seychelles micro-continent in shallow to deep water in the northern half of the Seychelles plateau in a region.
Amoco previously drilled three exploration wells in the area where all of which encountered oil shows and, along with the presence of multiple seeps and tarballs, confirms the presence of a working hydrocarbon system.

What else good!
The problem in all this,is that each time something happened that Seychellois discover names of companies operating in our waters and have made deal with partilepep WITHOUT Seychellois knowledge.Oil search participates in general PUBLIC DEBATE about all aspects of corruptions and is committed to promoting the integrity of established government mechanisms and processes institutions.Partilepep continues to act umilaterally on issues that have National consequences which need National debates and consent. For instance,Partilepep has still failed to put in place:Internal corruption prevention measures,Indepedent oversight body(civil society)ditto to a an independent body to mamange the Revenues etc....The transparency of money that flows between companies and government is a significant tool to combatting corruption, something partilepep thugs fail to do.For instance, money generated by this contracts with foreign oil companies are not known and reveal to the public at it should be.etc...
ReplyDeleteIn other words, the way partilepep crooks continue to abuse power, should we find oil-----this natural resource instead of becoming a blessing for Seychelles will be a curse as we see around Africa. We cannot allow partilepep to continue robbing Seychellois in the 21st century.
Jeanne D'Arc
How much money government generate in these deals are unclear, secret and eventually illegal teem with high level of corruption by Pl as always.Seychellois has never seen a single report on these deals made by pl.Is pl accountable to the people Michel?
ReplyDeleteYou do not need to see any report. After all you voted us (PP/SPPF) in to lord over you - so TRUST US - your assets are safe with us. SPTC
ReplyDeleteStop blaming PP for all the disasster.
ReplyDeletewe did not create these failures.
Jam took responsibilty of RENE mistake.
The only person responsible now is the father of misel.
The man should pull out!.
It is too late now!
Change government.
ReplyDeleteSFP will cancel all agreements by alleging fraud in execution.
I see Minister St Ange congratulating Emirates Airline on promoting Denise Rassool. Emirates have been praised for recognising Seselwa who can deliver to the highest standard.
ReplyDeleteMinister St Ange, we have so many Seselwa who are qualified in every industry. Be Medical, Aviation, Agricultural, Judiciary etc... However it is the Government of PP/SPPF who is the largest employer of its people, yet it conveniently chooses NOT TO EMPLOY QUALIFIED Seselwa who can deliver in the interest of the people. It is PP policy NOT TO TRAIN & DEVELOP Seselwa for obvious reasons already discussed on this forum.
Well done Emirates for training and developing our Seselwa. It pays off employing Seselwa, it is cheaper for Emirates to do so in the long run. SPTC
I just cannot wait to say a few words on Praslinois--for their innovation, creativity, innitiative etc.. .when it come to developing good tourism realted business, attractions and so on.St Ange seems now,to bring his time on Praslin, for it seems all new ideas are being borned there----after Ile des Palmes award, now the culinary fiesta (a success that would undoubtly develop and become a fiesta not to miss)and we have Mrs Stravens building an attraction right in front of her house ,thereby goffering both Seychellois and tourism a unique scenery.I would like to see, e.g that ZIMBABWE is used .Eg by building a castle -like Stone restaurant ,with coin drop binoculars ,why not a swimming pool --for it can be quit hot up ther ,so clients can always take a dip)etc....

ReplyDeleteIn some countires were there are change of government sometimes such a tactics are used by one or another to delegitimize a party. The thing is that Pl cannot blame any one even when he would try to--for since Independence no other political parties than Pl one-party state s in power--so the mess created is the job of Pl alone.
I think, the only thing Michel can do is put the blame squarely on one of his member to easy the burden on his own shoulders. But for that, putting the blame and sacrificing someone lese as scapegoat would have to be followed by demission etc....else no one would believe in Michel,
His mather should abort him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nuisance he is.
Now we pay the price.
Michel is fundamentally a failed leader up to now.
ReplyDeleteHe can only arrest Rene at this point to claim any redemption.
For this the country will support Michel.
My advise to Faure is remove Michel and rest arrest them than you can save your skin you also had mistake by bankrupt our country when finance minister but we can have a reconsillation and for give you for
ReplyDeleteyour mistake but not the one with blood on their hands.
