MANCHAM SPEAKS FOR MICHEL AND PL REGIME IN UAE!
PORT VICTORIA: Sir James R. Mancham, the First and Founding President of Seychelles hailed the strong relations between his country and the UAE.
Mancham congratulated the leadership and Government of the UAE on the occasion of UAE’s 42nd National Day celebrations, wishing more progress, welfare and prosperity for the country and its people.
These remarks came when the first President of Seychelles had an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), where he talked about the bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out that the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan has strengthened relations since Seychelles became independent from Britain in 1976.
He added that he had good memories with the late Sheikh Zayed, describing him as a wise statesman who was pursuing the development of the UAE and providing humanitarian aid for other countries in general.
He added that the relations have developed in the last period and witnessed cooperation and real partnership, especially in the investment and tourism fields under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Mancham underlined that the UAE was one of the first countries that contributed in a number of investment projects in his country, embodying cooperation, partnership aspects and confidence of his country’s promising economy.
